HEG up 5% on resuming operations
HEG up 5% on resuming operations HEG Limited resumed manufacturing operations from Thursday and the stock price reacted positively on the news.
Graphite electrode manufacturer HEG Limited informed the exchanges on Thursday that they have partially resumed the manufacturing operations. The company had shut operations on March 25 in the wake of Covid -19 outbreak in India.
HEG Limited’s stock price jumped by 5% on BSE in the early morning trade.
“We would like to inform you that in compliance of notification of MHA dated 15th April, 2020, the Company has partially resumed the manufacturing operations at its plant at Mandideep, Near Bhopal, District Raisen, MP, from today i.e 23rd April, 2020 after obtaining the prior permission from the local district authority,” Manish Gulati Executive Director HEG Limited, said.
The company is taking all the precautions for the containment prevention of its employees from the Covid-19. “The Company has been taking all precautions, adopting social distancing and other safety measures as per the government/local administration guidelines across its operations in the above plant for prevention and containment of COVID-19,” Gulati added.
HEG Ltd is currently trading at Rs951.60 up by Rs45.3 or 5% from its previous closing of Rs906.30 on the BSE.
